Cei peste opt mii de membri ai Acedemiei Americane de film, au anuntat nominalizatii la cele 24 de categorii ale galei premiilor Oscar, festivitate ce va avea loc pe 24 februarie 2019. Printre favoriti, filmul Bohemian Rhapsody, câştigător al Globului de Aur, dar si musicalul romantic A star is Born regizat de Bradley Cooper şi în care acesta joacă alături de Lady Gaga, favoritul criticilor. Ca un element de noutate, anul acesta gazda va fi o echipa si nu un singur prezentator ca in anii trecuti.
